AUS vs PAK: Aamer Jamal hilariously tries to bowl without a ball in his hand on Day 2

The Day 2 of the third Test between Australia and Pakistan being played at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney was marred by rain as only 46 overs were bowled in the day. Australia finished the day on 116/2 with Marnus Labuschagne (23*) and Steven Smith (6*) at the crease.

In the limited cricketing action that was on display on Day 2, a hilarious moment was witnessed as Pakistan seamer Aamer Jamal ran in to bowl without a ball in his hand. The incident took place in the 46^th over of Australia’s innings as Jamal came running in to bowl the first delivery to Labuschagne. However, the fast bowler stopped midway in his run-up and showed both palms to the batter revealing he has no ball in his hand.

Seeing the incident, commentators Michael Vaughan and Wasim Akram couldn’t control their laughter and Vaughan even suggested that Jamal should’ve gone all the way in his bowling stride.

Notably, Jamal rescued Pakistan’s first innings with his valiant knock of 82 (97) with the help of nine fours and four sixes as he helped his side reach 313 from 220/7. He also managed to get the wicket of in-form Usman Khawaja for 47.

The 27-year-old has been the find of the series for Pakistan being the second-highest wicket taker of the series so far with 13 wickets to his name from five innings at an average of 23.30. His best bowling performance of 6/111 came on his Test debut in Perth.

Meanwhile, coming back to the match, Australia resumed their innings on 6/0 on Day 2 as David Warner continued his knock in his last Test. The southpaw got dismissed by Agha Salman who got him out caught at first slip for 34. The opening batter was given a rousing reception by his home crowd as he walked back to the pavilion in his final game.
