Australian Allrounder Mitchell Marsh ties knot with Greta Mack in elegant wedding in Southwest Australia
Mitchell Marsh will most likely miss three games for the Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League.
The Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh got hitched to his long-term partner and co-director of The Farm Margaret River, Greta Mack, in a dazzling wedding in Gracetown of Southwest Australia, surrounded by close friends and family. The Delhi Capitals (DC) player missed the last match against the Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Furthermore, Marsh is expected to remain away from the field for at least three games to be played ahead in the IPL 2023 edition.
On Sunday, photos from the couples' friends and relatives surfaced on social media, providing an insight into the ceremony and subsequent celebrations in Gracetown. In a black tuxedo, white shirt, and black bow tie, the cricketer looked charming. Mack, on the other hand, was spotted shining in a flowing traditional white gown covered with white flowers and beads. Her hair had been styled in a beautiful wave that complemented her floor-length veil costume.
For the uninitiated, the Australia all-rounder flew back to Australia for his much-awaited wedding. Thereafter, the DC bowling coach, James Hope, came forward to confirm the news that Marsh will miss at least the next three matches for the franchise. Consequently, Rovman Powell replaced the Aussie and will play the rest of the matches before Marsh may join back his team next week.
Delhi Capitals will take on Mumbai Indians on Tuesday in their den
The Australian was included in the playing XI for the Delhi Capitals in both of their matches thus far, against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Gujarat Titans (GT). He bowled for the Capitals in their second encounter against the Titans, making his comeback after a lengthy break, owing to injury, and finished with a figure of 1/24. However, he did not perform well with the bat as he was dismissed for a duck in the first match against Lucknow and managed to score only four runs against the Titans.
The David Warner-led side was defeated by LSG by 50 runs and GT by six wickets. Following that, they faced a 57-run loss against the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR). DC are now reeling at the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table after losing three of the games they have played so far this season.
The Capitals will now face the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 16th match of the IPL 2023 on Tuesday, April 11, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Notably, MI also had a poor start to the season, losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their first two games.
