‘Interview chhod ke bhaag gaya’ - Axar Patel shares hilarious incident involving Mohammed Siraj from 2024 T20 World Cup

It has been months since team India won the T20 World Cup held in the USA and Barbados. However, despite some time having passed since the tournament, the players continue to share hilarious stories and anecdotes from the competition. 

It is worth noting that Axar Patel, Rohit Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, and Shivam Dube were a part of a comedy series on Netflix ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ recently, and Axar Shared a hilarious story involving India pacer Mohammed Siraj. 

Notably, after India defeated South Africa in the summit clash of the T20 World Cup, former cricketer Dinesh Karthik interviewed Siraj. Axar revealed that Siraj kept complaining about how Karthik wanted to interview in English. 

“Dinesh Karthik took our interview in English; all others know English, then why did he catch hold of us I don't know,” Axar said. 

Furthermore, Axarrevealed that Siraj ran away from the interview mid-way, stating that his vocabulary in English had finished. “Yes, we did; but even I don't know what I said; Siraj left the interview in between saying that his English vocabulary finished,” Axar said. 

India continue to dominate T20I format

Speaking of team India, the side is currently involved in a three-game T20I series against Bangladesh. They came into the series on the back of a two-match Test series win against Bangladesh, beating them in Chennai and Kanpur to clinch the series 2-0 and stay atop the WTC standings.

India have also made a winning start in the three-match T20I series, defeating the visitors in Gwalior on October 6. Bangladesh posted a sub-par 127 in the first innings, which India chased with ease, with seven wickets and over eight overs to spare. 

Having the advantage in the series, India will now face Bangladesh in the remaining two T20Is. The second clash will be held in Delhi on October 9 while the third will be held in Hyderabad on October 12.
