CWC 2023: Virat Kohli fumes at KL Rahul as Naveen ul Haq steals two on his first ball
Naveen ul Haq flicked a yorker towards fine leg on his first ball which was fielded by Virat Kohli.
India and Afghanistan are locking horns in Match 09 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Wednesday, October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. After opting to bat first, Afghanistan were left reeling at 63/3 inside the 14 overs. However, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (80 off 88) and Azmatullah Omarzai (62 off 69) bailed their team out of trouble with their massive 121-run stand off 127 balls.
Towards the final stages of Afghanistan’s innings, star India batter Virat Kohli was seen getting angry at wicketkeeper KL Rahul for not collecting the ball properly to run out Naveen ul Haq in the 49th over. On the second ball of the over bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Naveen flicked a yorker towards fine leg which was fielded by Kohli. The tailender managed to get two runs out of it as he dived to his full length to reach the striker’s end.

Kohli seemed irked at something as he shouted angrily at Rahul for not completing the run out.
Rohit Sharma goes berserk in the second innings
Naveen went on to score 9 (8) as Afghanistan posted a total of 272/8 in their allotted 50 overs. Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball for India as he picked 4/39 in ten overs. In the second innings, India got off to a terrific start as openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan got involved in a massive 156-run stand for the first wicket. Rohit went on to play a record-shattering innings of 131 off 84 balls as he clobbered 16 fours and five sixes in his innings.
On the other hand, Kishan scored 47 off 47 with the help of five fours and two sixes. Virat Kohli also continued his sensational form at his home ground scoring a splendid half-century (55* off 56) with the help of six fours in his innings. As a result, India chased down the target of 273 in just 35 overs and won the match by eight wickets.
