The highly-anticipated match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is just around the corner, and it's a clash that has cricket enthusiasts around the world on the edge of their seats. On October 14, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will face off at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in what promises to be a thrilling match of cricket between two powerhouses.

All the cricket fans are eager to secure tickets for this epic encounter in the world's largest cricket stadium. However, as fans rush to the BCCI's partner site, BookMyShow, tickets are disappearing quite quickly.

For many, the quest to acquire these tickets has proven to be quite the challenge. With only a limited number of tickets available offline, fans from across India are making their way to Ahmedabad as the match day approaches, fueled by their unwavering passion for the game.

Avinash, a cricket fan from Odisha, shared his determination and said as quoted by Rediff, "The match is on the 14th. I've travelled 2,000 kilometres to watch it. I'll go to great lengths to secure these tickets." His sentiment was echoed by Prakash, another Odisha native, who added, "I've come from Odisha, and it would be a disappointment if I can't secure a ticket."

Even local residents of Ahmedabad, like Kaushik, are feeling the heat. Kaushik remarked, "I reside just behind the stadium. I've been attempting to book an online ticket but haven't succeeded yet. I'm hopeful that they'll open an offline counter as well."

The Indian cricket team has recently unveiled its squad for the World Cup. This marquee event will feature ten teams, spanning 10 venues, and will take place from October 5 to November 19. The Narendra Modi Stadium will host both the tournament opener and the final, with a total of 48 matches scheduled over 46 days.

The action kicks off on Thursday, October 5, as the 2019 finalists, England and New Zealand, face off at the Narendra Modi Stadium. India embarks on its World Cup journey with a match against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
