'From a brash young Delhi boy to an evolved human being' - Robin Uthappa opens up on Virat Kohli's evolution
"One of the things that has always stood out to me about Cheeku has been his conviction in himself," Uthappa said.
A substantial bout of controversy has been ignited following Amit Mishra's revelations during a recent podcast with internet personality, Shubhankar Mishra. Mishra also candidly discussed plenty about his experiences with eminent Indian batter, Virat Kohli.
However, these assertions have been refuted by former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa. Intriguingly, Uthappa has played alongside both Mishra and Kohli, representing India A in domestic cricket and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, respectively. Uthappa, a member of the RCB setup during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, elaborated on his observations of Kohli's dramatic transformation from a typically aggressive Delhiite to a profoundly refined individual. He reckoned that Kohli is now harvesting the fruits of the efforts he sowed a decade and a half back.

"One of the things that has always stood out to me about Cheeku has been his conviction in himself. When I listen to a young 19-year-old Virat Kohli, you know talking about himself or his conviction in himself, you'll get mortified, you'll be like, 'what is this dude talking about?'. But, fast forward 10 years, and you be like 'okay, now that makes sense,'" added Uthappa.
