Indian businessman Gautam Adani has announced Rs 60,000 crore investment for opening two hospitals and a new cricket stadium in Rajasthan on Friday. The chairman of Adani Group also revealed that the proposals for this project have been approved by Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

While speaking at the Invest Rajasthan Summit, Adani revealed the details of this project. One medical college and a hospital will be opened in two districts where there are no medical colleges. And on behalf of the Adani Group and Adani Foundation, a new cricket stadium will be built in Udaipur.

"Today I am very happy to attend the summit. We have announced an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. Simultaneously, while talking to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, we have got approval for two proposals. Two medical colleges will be opened in Rajasthan. In the districts where there are no medical colleges, it has been agreed that we can contribute by opening medical colleges along with civil hospitals.

"We also discussed with CM Gehlot and Assembly Speaker C.P. Joshi about building a cricket stadium in Udaipur. On behalf of Adani Foundation and Adani Group, we will provide full cooperation to build the stadium,” Gautam Adani said in Invest Rajasthan Summit on Friday.

Gautam Adani continues to invest in cricket

In May 2022, Adani Group's Adani Sportsline acquired the franchise in the upcoming UAE T20 League. This was their first big investment in the cricket world and they continue to contribute to its growth with another big partnership. Two months ago, Adani Sportsline partnered with Legends League Cricket and came up with a new team, Gujarat Giants. However, Gujarat Giants, under the leadership of Virender Sehwag and Parthiv Patel, lost the eliminator fixture and failed to reach the final.

Adani Group were also heavily linked to win the bidding for the new team in the Indian Premier League during the team's auction in October 2021. Many considered them to be favorites to win the bid for the Ahmedabad franchise but their Rs 5000 crore bid was canceled by winner CVC Capital Partners's Rs 5600 bid.
