'We're playing as a unit' - Hardik Pandya reveals India's success mantra in the ODI World Cup 2023
India have won all three matches of the ODI World Cup 2023 so far.
India have been having a dominant run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they’ve won all three of their matches so far. The Rohit Sharma-led side has beaten Australia, Afghanistan and Pakistan to sit on the second spot on the points table having six points to their name from three matches. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya recently revealed the secret behind India’s unbeaten run in the tournament so far.
Pandya disclosed that the team’s playing XI ahead of every game is shown with their childhood pictures and stated that the atmosphere in the dressing room is light and fun.
"When our playing XI is shown in the team meeting in the dressing room, it is shown with our old and childhood pictures. And atmosphere in dressing room is very good and light and fun. We are playing as a unit and together,” Pandya was quoted as saying by Star Sports.

Notably, Hardik has batted only once in the tournament so far in the first game against Australia where he scored an unbeaten 11* off 8 balls. With the ball, he’s performed exceptionally having picked five wickets from three innings at an average of 21 and an economy of 6.56.
The all-rounder has managed to pick wickets at the crucial stages for the team as he’s sent the well-set batters back to the pavilion in the last two matches. Meanwhile, India will have a great chance to return to the top of the points table as they lock horns with Bangladesh on Thursday, October 19 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Bangladesh have had an upper hand over India in recent ODIs
The Shakib al Hasan-led side are coming into the fixture having lost their previous two fixtures against England and New Zealand. Bangladesh will be coming into the match high on confidence having beaten India thrice in the last four ODIs played between the two teams. The Bangla Tigers recently beat the Men in Blue in the Asia Cup 2023 and earlier beat them in a bilateral series at their home in December 2022.
