Harmanpreet, Jemimah, Deepti among 15 other Indian players registered for WBBL draft
Smriti Mandhana has been signed up by Adelaide Strikers.
18 Indian cricketers have registered for the WBBL draft, which is scheduled to take place on September 1. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Shreyanka Patil and many others will be available for selection.
Deepti, out of which, recently featured for London Spirit in the Women's Hundred. She played a vital role as the Heather Knight-led side went on to lift the trophy. Deepti hit the winning six to get the job done. Jemimah, on the other hand, is currently playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the WCPL. When it comes to Harmanpreet, the veteran batter has played 62 matches in the WBBL and scored 1440 runs at a strike rate of 117.16.

Adelaide Strikers sign up Smriti Mandhana
Defending champions Adelaide Strikers signed star India batter Smriti Mandhana for the upcoming edition of the Women’s Big Bash League. The 28-year-old previously represented Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder in the competition and this time, Adelaide signed her ahead of the draft. She has played 38 games in the WBBL and has scored 784 runs at a strike rate of 130.01.
After joining Adelaide, Smriti expressed her excitement about coming back to Australia for the WBBL. She will also reunite with coach Luke Williams, who was also a part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru squad that won the Women’s Premier League earlier in the year.
“I always look forward to playing in Australia, and I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to a team with a history of success like the Strikers. I'm thrilled to continue working with Luke. Our previous experiences together have been so rewarding, and I'm looking forward to building on that,” Mandhana said.
