Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle has picked his Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. While the country is waiting with bated breath to see the 15-member squad who will contest with giants at the marquee event, Bhogle has his choice set straight. It is worth noting that the official Indian squad for the impending World Cup is yet to be announced by the BCCI. However, the meeting for the same is reportedly scheduled in Delhi on April 27.

Coming back to the voice of cricket’s World Cup team, he has opted for Yashasvi Jaiswal to pair up with Rohit Sharma for the opener’s slot. Virat Kohli who was under intense scrutiny over his inclusion, has been inducted by him. Surprisingly, he has gone for Sanju Samson over KL Rahul for the second wicket-keeper batter position. Shivam Dube who has been creating waves for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024 has also been included.

Rishabh Pant who has been out of action internationally since his car accident is adorning the middle order with Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya. One standout choice of Bhogle is him preferring Sandeep Sharma. Sandeep could be a tailor-made bowler on sluggish West Indies decks and has performed well for Rajasthan Royals. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh are the other pacers in the lot. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav take the helm of the spin department.
