Nitish Kumar Reddy hoped SRH would have as good a season in 2025 as they had in 2024
Nitish Kumar Reddy was on JioHotstar’s special show 'Gen Bold', where he spoke about his growth trajectory in cricket. The SRH player was happy about his success at the highest level in the last year or so. Reddy hoped to continue to deliver his good performances for both SRH and India at the same level.
The SRH all-rounder has been performing well in the ongoing IPL 2025. In three matches that SRH have played, Nitish Kumar Reddy has scored 62 runs with a strike rate of 137.78. However, Reddy hasn't had a chance to bowl in the ongoing tournament.
"I am very happy with the progress I’ve made, both in my performances for my country and my IPL franchise. I want to continue delivering at the same level," Nitish said. The star All-rounder felt people started to recognize his performances, and he had to stay grounded. The star player said his focus was to keep his love for the game alive.

"There has been a significant change—people have started recognizing me and praising my performances. However, I don’t want to let this get to my head. Moving forward, I want to play with the same passion and consistency, whether it’s for my franchise or India. My focus remains on keeping my love for cricket alive," Nitish added.
'I would rate my team very highly' - Nitish Kumar Reddy reveals SRH's strategy
The All-rounder rated SRH highly and wished to replicate what he and his team did in 2024. He revealed SRH's strategy - Play with a free mind, maximize the Powerplay overs, and continue the momentum for the rest of the innings.
"I would rate my team very highly. We had an incredible season last year, and we want to replicate that success. Our strategy is simple—playing with a free mind, maximizing runs in the powerplay, and carrying that momentum into the later overs. Whether it’s the top or middle order, everyone has a role to play. We’re hopeful for another great season," Nitish claimed.
Sunrisers haven't had as good a season as they would have liked. In their first match, the Orange Army posted the second-highest total in IPL history against RR. However, in their last two matches, the 2016 champions lost to LSG and DC, respectively, to find themselves in the 8th position in the points table.
