India Women will be touring England for a bilateral series after three long years in 2025. The team lost the T20I series back then, but bounced back commendably to whitewash the hosts in the three-match ODI series.

However, the tour to England next year will mark a unique experience for the Indians, the main difference being the constant travel required across the entire series. The five T20Is will be played from June 28 to July 12, to be followed by a four-day break post which the three-match ODI series will commence.

The unique element of this series will be that it will be played at eight different venues and will also be the first instance of India Women playing a five-match T20I series against England Women in England.

It will be intriguing to find out who will be included in the squad for that tour and whether there would be an injection of fresh blood or not, though it is still a long way off from the present.

Lord's to host first-ever women's Test match in 2026

The England & Wales Cricket Board also announced that the very first women's Test match to be played at Lord's will see India Women as the opposition in 2026. The CEO of the ECB, Richard Gould, was understandably pumped up for the prospect.

“I’m also delighted we can confirm that India Women will return in 2026 to take on England Women in the first-ever women’s Test match at Lord’s. It will be a truly special occasion, and one of real significance,” stated Gould.

Since December 2023, the Indians have hosted England, Australia, and South Africa as part of a one-off Test and have managed to win all the three games with relative ease.
