Ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s first home game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians, Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced a traffic advisory for the fans to follow. Even though the match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm, the rules and regulations will be in place from 4 pm to 11 pm IST.

It has been announced that parking will be strictly restricted to Sobha Mall (450 metres away from the stadium), Old KGID Building (550 metres away from the stadium), BMTC TTMC Shivaji Nagar 1st Floor (1 kilometre away from the stadium), UB City Parking Lot (1 kilometre away from the stadium) and Kanteerava Stadium (1.2 kilometres away).

The restrictions, meanwhile, will be applied on Queens Road, MG Road, MG Road to Cubbon road, Rajbhavan Road, Central Street Road, Cubbon Road, St Marks Road, Museum Road, Kasturba Road, Ambedkar Veedi Road, Trinity Jn, Lavelle road, Vittal Mallya road and Nrupathunga road.

On the other hand, public transport will be available till late at night. Buses will be available after 11 pm, while Namma Metro will operate until 1:30 AM IST.

Fit Maxwell available for opening game

Batting coach Sanjay Bangar has confirmed that the flamboyant all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is fit and will play the opening game against Mumbai Indians. However, he also confirmed that Wanindu Hasaranga will join the squad on April 9.

On the other hand, Rajat Patidar is currently in NCA, and there’s no information on when he will return. Despite so, RCB will back themselves against the Rohit Sharma-led side, as many of their players looked in great form in the intra-squad match. Michael Bracewell smashed a sensational century while Maxwell was at his very best.

When it comes to Mumbai, they will miss the service of speedster Jasprit Bumrah. Sandeep Warrier has been named his replacement, but their bowling unit is looking a bit pale. Thus, the batters will have to take a lot of responsibility.
