The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 kicked off in fabulous fashion as defending champions Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings in the season opener of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

One of the most significant aspects of the IPL 2023 has been the introduction of JioCinema. After Reliance picked up the tournament's streaming rights, JioCinema has many options to make watching IPL the best experience possible. With commentary in more than eight languages and streaming in 4K, fans were excited to watch the tournament like never before.

However, with the start of the competition came many issues as well. Many fans reported lagging issues with the stream in the season opener on JioCinema, and it seems like the problems also continued in the next game. As Punjab Kings took on Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament's second game, fans took to Twitter to lambast the streaming service due to issues with the stream.

Punjab Kings look to register first win of the season

Talking about the game, the Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings will be keen on registering their first win of the tournament as they have posted a big total on the board after the first innings. Punjab scored 191 runs thanks to fabulous batting performances by several batters.

In the run chase, they started off the innings just right as the top-order of Kolkata Knight Riders were dismissed quite early on, thereby increasing the pressure on the Nitish Rana-led side. Arshdeep Singh has been fabulous with the ball so far and has been integral for his side if they do go on to win the game. Despite being plagued with injuries, Kolkata looks to be fighting hard to win their first game of the IPL 2023.
