IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants' 2nd Innings Highlights against Mumbai Indians in Match 48

At the Ekana Sports City Stadium in Lucknow, the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are squarely competing in Match 48 of the 2024 Indian Premier League. LSG currently occupy the fifth spot in the IPL 2024 points standings. Conversely, MI, who are ranked ninth, appear to be desperate to win.
KL Rahul, the captain of the LSG, won the toss and decided to bowl against the Mumbai Indians at their home. The Ekana Cricket Stadium's batting surfaces seem to be better this year than they were previously. Lucknow Super Giants beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets.

After Powerplay: LSG 61-2 in 8 overs
Lucknow Super Giants scored 61 runs with a loss of two wickets in eight overs. Skipper KL Rahul got out too early in the match against Mumbai Indians at just 28 runs. Rahul was caught by Nabi in Mumbai Indians' skipper Hardik Pandya's over. However, KL Rahul became the first wicketkeeper-batter to score 400 runs in IPL 2024.
Marcus Stoinis shines for LSG
LSG's in-form all-rounder struck like lightning against MI players as he scored 62 runs off just 45 balls. He played an extraordinary innings against the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians. Deepak Hooda has not been able to perform well in this season so far. He could only score 18 runs against Mumbai Indians as well and was sent back to the pavilion. He took LSG to a commendable victory in their tenth match of IPL 2024.
Marcus Stoinis was dismissed in the 15th over
Unfortunately, Marcus Stoinis got dismissed by Mohammed Nabi and after 15 overs, LSG were 116 for 4. Lucknow Super Giants needed 29 runs in 30 balls which was not that difficult for a team like them to chase as they have been performing really well in this season. After the win against MI, LSG claimed up to the third position. In 10 matches they have won 6 and lost 4 so far in the tournament.

With the help of their star performer Marcus Stoinis, LSG were able to chase a target of 145 runs and beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets. The Giants have been in great form in this season of the IPL.
