Young India pacer Arshdeep Singh has seen the highs and the lows in a short span of three years of his international career. During the 2022 T20 World Cup 2022, he was criticised for his bowling and fielding but the 25-year-old believed in his ability, and bounced back in the 2024 edition of the tournament, finishing as the joint-leading wicket-taker of the tournament alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi.
He played a vital part in India’s success in the tournament and has now been named in the ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series. Ahead of that, Arshdeep revealed that he looks for inspiration in every human being, be it in daily wagers or from a student or professor. He also shared a piece of advice for all the youngsters by motivating them to work hard and trust in the process.

“As a player, I look for inspiration in everyone, be it a daily wager, a student topping his classes, or a professor. I try getting inspired by the ones doing well in their lives. The message to the youth is that they keep continuing to giving their best, controlling what they can. Keep working hard. You will get the fruits of your hard work,” Arshdeep told reporters after being felicitated by Chandigarh University.

He believes that the time has come for the team management to bring him in and to which, the pacer responded that he is ready and would give his best whenever he is given the opportunity in the longest format.

“As a player, you want to give your 100 per cent no matter what format. This is my thinking too. I would give my best if given a chance,” Arshdeep said.
