Lucknow Super Giants’ new pace sensation Mayank Yadav has been making waves in the Indian Premier League 2024 circuit. He has been hailed as the next speedster of India by analysts and fans alike. The right-arm pacer has been exceptional in his outings as he constantly hits 150+ kph whenever he is entrusted with the ball. Not only his pace, his tight grip on line and length is something that has caught the attention of many.
One might want to delve deeper into what would be his diet behind the sheer pace. It is understood for a pacer to bowl at such magnitude requires precision not only on the field but off the field too. Now his mother, Mamta Yadav has provided insights into Mayank’s lifestyle. Surprisingly, she disclosed that the youngster quit non-vegetarian food to get acclimatised to the work regime.
"Mayank has just turned vegetarian. Earlier, he used to eat non-veg food. He has been eating vegetarian food for the last 2 years. Whatever he has been asking us to make, based on his diet chart, we would make for him. He wouldn't eat anything special, dal, roti, rice, milk, veggies, etc,” Mamta Yadav said in an interview with Aaj Tak.
