MS Dhoni receives invitation for Ram Temple's 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya

Dhoni happily accepted the invitation for the event to be held on Monday, January 22 in Ayodhya.

Legendary India cricketer MS Dhoni has been invited to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony to be held in Ayodhya on January 22. Notably, before Dhoni, legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar and current batting superstar Virat Kohli have also received the invitation for the sacred event as the devotees prepare themselves for the homecoming of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram).

Co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dhananjay Singh, presented the invitation letter to the two-time World Cup-winning captain for Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony along with State Organization General Secretary of BJP Karmaveer Singh. Dhoni happily accepted the invitation for the event.

He also expressed his gratitude towards the Shri Ram Temple Trust and the guests who had come to invite him. Notably, Ram Temple Trust has invited over 7,000 people including Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, billionaire industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani and several other VVIPs for the mega event.

The families of ‘Kar sevaks’ killed in the police firing in Ayodhya, saints, priests, shankaracharya, religious leaders, former civil servants, retired Army officers, lawyers, musicians and Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardees will also attend the religious event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also mark his presence at the momentous occasion which will also be attended by VVIP guests from abroad.

The vedic rituals for the event will start one week in advance from January 16 onwards while a priest from Varanasi named Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22.

Dhoni likely to retire after IPL 2024

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will be seen back in action during the IPL 2024 leading Chennai Super Kings in the 17th season of the league. The Captain Cool led the ‘yellow army’ to a joint-record fifth IPL title in 2023 beating Gujarat Titans in the final. The upcoming season is expected to be the last one for the Jharkhand-born cricketer and fans are expected to throng to the stadiums all over India to witness him play his last season ever.
