After winning all their nine league games in the ongoing ODI World Cup, India qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament and will face New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Ahead of that, Mumbai police have got information about reselling of tickets and are currently working on the development.

As per Praveen Munde, DCP (Circle-1), the tickets worth INR 2,500-4,000, are being sold at INR 25,000-50,000. He added that his team have already contacted the accused and further investigation is currently underway.
“The New Zealand vs India World Cup match ticket, which would cost around Rs 2500 to 4000, was being sold for Rs 25000-50000. After receiving the information, our team contacted the accused and action was taken. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter,” Praveen said.

Meanwhile, this is not something new in the ongoing tournament. Multiple such stories were unearthed during the league stage, but the local authorities along with the cricket board have failed to stop the flow so far.

On the other hand, India challenging New Zealand in the semis is a repeat of the 2019 edition of the competition. The Men in Blue suffered a heart-breaking defeat in Manchester and have often found trouble beating the Kiwis in knock-out games. However, the Rohit Sharma-led side is in phenomenal form and will be optimistic of their chances when they take on New Zealand on November 15.

India are unlikely to make any changes to the playing XI as it has worked in their favour so far. All the batters are currently on song, as Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli hit a half-century each in their last league game against Netherlands, while Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul hit a century each. Bowlers too have done an exceptional job so far.

When it comes to New Zealand, they have a perfect balance. Youngster Rachin Ravindra has been one of the players of the tournament while Trent Boult has shown his class in the last match. Hence, a brilliant game is expected when these two teams take on each other.
