Nikhil Chopra to continue as Chairman of CAC position in DDCA for third consecutive time
The 50-year-old has played just one Test and 39 ODIs for India.

Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has appointed former India cricketer Nikhil Chopra as the Chairman of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). Nikhil will hold the position for the third consecutive term as the committee underwent restructuring according to the resolutions passed by the DDCA Apex Council.
The other committee members who will join Nikhil in CAC are former cricketer Surinder Khanna and Anjali Sharma. The committee will have a key role in recommending DDCA President the appointments of selection committees, coaches, managers, and support staff. It is worth noting that, the recommendation will hold good only for the tournaments which are organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Nikhil’s presence will be mandatory, as the three members' core is set up as the committee. The chairperson comprises the core and his presence has been made mandatory. The chairman’s priority would be to bring in the highest standards of transparency in all its operations.

The 50-year-old has played a solitary Test and 39 ODIs for the country. In a less than brief red-ball career, he scored seven runs in two innings against South Africa in Bengaluru in March 2000. Speaking of the right-handed batter’s ODI journey, featuring in 39 games, he scored 310 runs at an average of 15.50. He was a handy bowler with 46 scalps in a 50-over format at an average of 27.95.
