Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has appointed former India cricketer Nikhil Chopra as the Chairman of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). Nikhil will hold the position for the third consecutive term as the committee underwent restructuring according to the resolutions passed by the DDCA Apex Council.

The other committee members who will join Nikhil in CAC are former cricketer Surinder Khanna and Anjali Sharma. The committee will have a key role in recommending DDCA President the appointments of selection committees, coaches, managers, and support staff. It is worth noting that, the recommendation will hold good only for the tournaments which are organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Nikhil’s presence will be mandatory, as the three members' core is set up as the committee. The chairperson comprises the core and his presence has been made mandatory. The chairman’s priority would be to bring in the highest standards of transparency in all its operations.
