Hardik Pandya-led team India(IND) will lock horns one final time in the three-match T20I series against hosts New Zealand(NZ) at Mclean Park in Napier. The Men in Blue are currently leading the series 1-0 after a massive win in the second T20I match following the washout in the first game at the Sky Stadium in Wellington.

The weather has played a key role in the ongoing series and both sides will hope that the rain gods will not make their presence felt in the crucial final encounter. Speaking about their head-to-head records, the Men in Blue hold a slight upper hand on the Kiwis with 12 wins, whereas the hosts have won nine times in their 23 meetings thus far.

The antipodean nation remains a tricky place for cricket teams to tour because of the pitch and weather conditions. Furthermore, the pitch at the Mclean Park in Napier is slightly batting-friendly surface with an average first innings total of 171 runs but also has enough in it to keep the seamers interested.

25% chance of showers during the day

The match between the two heavyweights is scheduled to begin at 7.30 pm (local time) (12.00 pm IST) on Tuesday, November 22 at Mclean Park in Napier. According to the latest predictions by ‘AccuWeather’, the cloud cover is at 98% which essentially means that the ambience will remain cloudy throughout.

The probability of precipitation is at 25% with wind gusts expected to travel at the rate of 35 km/h meaning it will also be breezy during the match. However, towards the latter half of the match, the weather is predicted to be overcast with late-night showers. It does not appear the match will be affected by the showers in the initial half of the match, however, it remains to be seen what transpires towards the later half of the second innings.
