The squad will be led by Suzie Bates.
New Zealand Women have announced their squad for the T20I series at home against the Australian side. The team will be led by Suzie Bates, and a fully fit Lea Tahuhu is also back after recovering from a second-grade hamstring tear.
Experienced all-rounder Sophie Devine has also found a place back, as the cricketer was understood to be on a break from cricket due to personal reasons, owing to which, she also missed the WPL 2025 with RCB Women and the recently-concluded series against Sri Lanka as well.
Meanwhile, Amelia Kerr, who emerged as the Purple Cap holder in the victorious campaign with MI Women in WPL 2025, also finds a place back. The White Ferns head coach Ben Sawyer was delighted to have the important trio back into the squad as the hosts find a wealth of experience and leadership in their 13-member roster for the upcoming series.
"We're stoked to have Soph, Melie and Lea back for this series. They're three key players who bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the group," Sawyer was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
