Defending champions England (ENG) will look to bounce back strongly after being annihilated by New Zealand (NZ) as they take on Bangladesh at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Tuesday, October 10.

The warm-up games leading up to the ODI World Cup 2023 were marred by rain, but in the first few matches of the marquee event, the rain gods have been quite kind. Cricket enthusiasts will be happy to know that the forecast for Tuesday's England versus Bangladesh clash in Dharamsala looks quite promising. There is only a 50% chance of precipitation during the afternoon but that spell isn't expected to hamper play for too long.

The match starts at 10:30 AM (IST), and the players will be greeted with pleasant temperatures of around 21-23°C. The humidity is going to be around 57 per cent. Therefore, the picturesque stadium will be waiting in readiness to host two teams who have had contrasting starts to the tournament. It is important to note that dew won't be a factor in this game as it is expected to end by 6 PM local time.

Another low-scoring affair in Dharamsala?

In the first game played at this venue in the ODI World Cup 2023, Bangladesh bowled out Afghanistan for 156 before hunting the score down inside 35 overs with six wickets to spare. Batting in the first innings was difficult on the grassy pitch used in that match. However, things eased out a little bit in the second innings.

The boundaries at this venue are relatively small, but historically, runs haven't been too easy to come by. The average first innings score is just 169. Teams chasing at this venue have won four out of the five ODIs played. The captain who wins the toss might not hesitate in opting to bowl first.
