In a recent development, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has decided to take a different approach in an attempt to regain his form during the ongoing ICC World Cup. While the rest of the team travelled to Kolkata for their upcoming matches against the Netherlands and Pakistan, Shakib made the decision to return to Dhaka and train with his mentor, Nazmul Abedeen Faheem.

This move has raised some eyebrows, as Shakib's recent struggles on the field have mirrored Bangladesh's poor performance in the tournament. They currently find themselves at the bottom of the points table.

Faheem revealed that Shakib arrived in Dhaka and they will be training together for three days before he returns to Kolkata. The focus of their session was primarily on batting, with throwdowns in the nets being a key component.

"He arrived today. We will be training for three days," Faheem told ESPNcricinfo. "Today, tomorrow and day after, and then he will return to Kolkata. We worked on his batting today."
