The latest sporting sensation in India, Navdeep Singh, came to prominence after he clinched the gold medal at the men's javelin throw F41 category with an outstanding 47.32 m attempt in the final.

In a recent discussion, Navdeep, who won the laurel on September 7, was asked who among MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli is he a bigger fan of. In an unexpected response, Navdeep revealed his liking towards Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. He also revealed the time since which he started following the T20 World Cup-winning skipper.

"Rohit Sharma. He plays very well. He had scored a double-century. What an innings that was! I’ve been his fan since then,” stated Navdeep, during a recent episode of Unplugged.

It is unclear which double ton was being referred by Navdeep. The current Test and ODI skipper of the Indian team has three to his name - one against Australia in 2013 and the other two against Sri Lanka in 2014 and 2017, respectively.

Rohit recently led India to a historic T20 World Cup 2024 title triumph, emerging as the second leading run-getter at the event with 257 in eight innings. Notably, Rohit had also won the inaugural edition of the marquee event, although as a player.
