Pat Cummins takes ride of Sabarmati River Cruise in Ahmedabad after World Cup triumph

Pat Cummins-led Australia put in a marvellous performance in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 and managed to topple the Men in Blue, India, in the summit clash of the tournament. After their World Cup win, the Aussie skipper was captured taking a ride on the Sabarmati River Cruise to celebrate their World Cup-winning campaign.

Coming in to face a previously unbeaten Indian team, the eventual champions put in a marvellous performance in the summit clash, chasing down a target of 241 runs comfortably, Australia clinched their sixth World Cup title.

We saved our best for last: Pat Cummins

After winning the ODI World Cup 2023, Cummins came forward to talk of the brilliant victory. The Australian skipper opined that the Men in Yellow saved their best performance for last and the many big game players rose to the occasion in the summit clash.

"I think we saved our best for last. Couple of big match players stood up, and we're pretty stuffed. We've been batting first pretty much for the whole tournament. Today we thought, it might actually get a little bit easier. Everyone was pretty keen to get out there. This year will be remembered for a long, long time, and we had a lot of success over the winter, and this one peaks it all. At the top of the mountain,” Cummins said.

After their resounding win, the focus will now shift onto the upcoming T20I series, which is set to begin on Thursday, November 23.
