Pakistan's domestic first-class competition Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is set to commence on September 27 as the nation enters its next phase of the 2022-23 season after the conclusion of the National T20 Cup. There will be six participating teams for the upcoming red-ball tournament, which will run alongside the Cricket Associations Championship.

Yasir Shah, Azhar Ali, Khalid Usman, Umar Amin, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Hasan Ali will lead Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh, and Southern Punjab, respectively. The two-month-long Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will witness each team play the others twice in the 10-round group stage.

While the first round of matches will be played at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Abbottabad, Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium, Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will host some of the fixtures of the remaining second round of matches. The final of the tournament will be played from 26 to 30 November, with the venue still to be decided.
