KL Rahul to lead in absence of Rohit Sharma in Bangladesh
Meanwhile, India’s Test vice-captain KL Rahul is expected to lead the side in the upcoming Test tour of Bangladesh after regular skipper Rohit Sharma was ruled out owing to a thumb injury. Rahul came back into the Test setup last year and made a significant impact at the top-order in England tour which earned him the vice-captain tag.
He will have a big chance to help India qualify for the World Test Championship finals through his leadership and all eyes will be on the Karnataka lad. Rahul is expected to open the innings alongside Shubman Gill at the top with Abhimanyu Easwaran as the backup option in the squad.
