The most-awaited Champions Trophy is set to begin on February 19, Wednesday and the Indian team has already started preparations in Dubai. The Men in Blue will be starting their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. Some big stars will be featured in the squad and there are a lot of high hopes from the fans who will be excited to witness them play in the upcoming event.

The Indian team has already suffered a big blow just ahead of the tournament with Jasprit Bumrah being excluded from the squad due to a back injury he suffered during the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, there were some more unwanted scenes during the practice session where wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant took a blow to the knee. Though it was said to be a minor injury the latest reports do not look promising for the 27-year-old star.

According to the reports Pant was seen facing some discomfort during the practice sessions on Monday where he chose to skip the fielding and wicketkeeping sessions and was limping as well. Even while batting Pant seemed to struggle edging most of the deliveries he was playing. These updates are not promising for the young star at all especially ahead of the tournament. There were also instances where KL Rahul was practising some big shots during practice since there is a chance he might play at number five or six and would be trying to fit into the finisher role and play a much faster-paced game and move on from the technical anchor role which he is known for.

Speaking of other players during the practice session apart from Rahul Shreyas Iyer was working on his big hits as well while the top order batters Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill were looking in great touch with their sublime stroke-making abilities in the nets which is a great sign for the team.
