Rishabh Pant is out of Intensive Care Unit, but the extent of his foot and knee injuries still remain unclear. The star Indian cricketer met with an accident while traveling to his hometown Roorkee on early morning of December 30. His car collided with a divider and caught fire as the cricketer suffered injuries to his head, arm, and leg.

Earlier today, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Director Shyam Sharma informed that Pant had been moved to a private ward to avoid any infection due to the visits by his well-wishers. He also added the player is doing well and will recover soon.

"Rishabh Pant is doing well and has been shifted to a private suite due to fear of infection. We have told his family and hospital administration to shift him to a private suite. He is doing better and will recover soon," Shyam Sharma was quoted as saying by NDTV on January 2.

The extent of Rishabh's foot and knee injuries is still unclear

The MRI scans of his brain and spinal cord were held on December 30 and returned with normal result, but the scans to ascertain the extent of leg injuries were held back due to swelling. Pant also underwent plastic surgery as a part of his treatment for facial injuries.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the BCCI asked the doctors to not perform any treatment on the player's ligament injury and have also formed a panel of its own doctors to collaborate with the Max Hospital, where Pant is currently admitted.

It has also been reported that the BCCI is hoping to fly Pant to Mumbai or Delhi for further treatment to determine the extent of two suspected ligament tears. It will help the management to decide whether there is need for surgery. Despite the recovery, Pant ia unlikely to participate in Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February-March.
