Star Pakistan bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has married Ansha Afridi, the daughter of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Friday, February 3 in a local mosque in Karachi. 

Shaheen Shah Afridi has been a star player for Pakistan and is one of their key bowlers. He has represented Pakistan in 25 Tests, 32 ODIs and 47 T20Is. He made his international debut in 2018 and was on the go once he started. Shaheen already has taken 219 wickets till now in his short career and there is much more to come.

The left-arm fast bowler got married on Friday to the daughter of former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi. Many cricketers from the past and present Pakistan team were present for the joyous occasion. Shaheen and Ansha got engaged last year and finally got married yesterday in a mosque in Karachi as per thenews.com.pk. 

Current Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was also present in attendance at the wedding. Current Pakistan team players Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan were also seen in the pictures that are going viral on social media. 

Shaheen was last seen in international cricket in 2022 when he played in the ICC T20 World Cup final against England. He suffered a setback while bowling his third over of the game as he continued to battle his knee injury and wasn’t able to bowl any further.

That was a crucial point in the game as Pakistan were breathing down England's neck with their pace attack and Shaheen’s loss meant that captain Babar Azam had to use a spinner instead of him and that turned the tables in England's favour entirely.

Shaheen was always a risk before he even entered the tournament as he was suffering from a knee injury and was coming back after a surgery to his knee. He was out of action for a brief while as he didn't feature in the Asia Cup 2022 and even missed a crucial series (seven-match T20I series) against England at home leading into the T20 World Cup.

With the latest edition of the Pakistan Super League around the corner, the pacer is currently on the road to recovery and was seen bowling in the nets as well a few days ago.
