MS Dhoni played a blistering knock of 20 off four balls against Mumbai Indians in Match 29.
Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni once again turned the clock back in time with his explosive knock against Mumbai Indians (MI) during Match 29 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) on Sunday, April 14 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The wicketkeeper-batter walked out to bat in the last over of the innings with just four balls remaining and took the attack on Hardik Pandya dispatching him for three consecutive sixes.
The 42-year-old played a quick-fire knock of 20 off just four balls sending the crowd into a frenzy with every hit. Out of the three maximums which Dhoni hit, the first one was exceptional as he whacked a widish deliver outside the off stump and launched it high into the night sky which travelled over long off for a massive six.

Coming back to the match, after being put in to bat first, CSK posted a massive score of 206/4 in their allotted 20 overs courtesy of half-centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad (69 off 40) and Shivam Dube (66* off 38) and a quick cameo from MS Dhoni.
In reply, MI could only reach 186/6 in their allotted 20 overs with Rohit Sharma (105* off 63) being the lone warrior with his century. Matheesha Pathirana starred with the ball for CSK with figures of 4/28 in four overs. Following their win, Chennai maintained third spot on the points table with eight points from six games while Mumbai slipped to eighth position with four points from six matches.
