Shubman Gill donates medical equipment to the Phase-VI Civil Hospital in Mohali
Shubman Gill donated medical equipment worth INR 35 lakhs as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to the Phase-VI Civil Hospital in Mohali. The Indian ODI vice-captain provided crucial equipment like a Ventilator, an Operation Theatre light, a multi-parameter monitor, minor Operation Theatre tables, bedside monitors, and an X-ray system.
Dr Sangeeta Jain, a Civil Surgeon from Mohali, said that the equipment will be used upon seeing the needs. They added that it could be sent to different hospitals if they needed it more than their own. "The equipment would be used after assessing the need. If any other hospital is in need, it can be provided," she was quoted as saying by The Tribune India.
As per the reports, Shubman's aunt was present when the equipment were present to the hospital. Dr Kushaldeep Kaur, Gill's aunt, is a District Immunization Officer (DIO) in Patiala. She oversaw the process of ensuring the equipment reached the hospital's management. Shubman's move has received praise from fans on social media platforms.

Gill & Co. charge up for RCB challenge at Chinnaswamy
Shubman and his teammates' upcoming challenge would be to take on the table toppers, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), in their backyard. RCB and GT will face each other on the 2nd of April at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, one of the most highly anticipated matches of the week. Top players in the world like Virat Kohli, Josh Hazlewood, Jos Buttler, Gill, to name a few, will be in action at the garden city's iconic venue.
RCB are running high on confidence, after claiming two convincing wins in their campaign so far. The Bengaluru-based franchise beat KKR and CSK at their home, and are placed first in the points table. On the other hand, Titans have a win and a loss each to their name.
GT lost to PBKS before beating MI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. At Chinnaswamy, the Titans have played two matches and claimed a win and a loss each. While they knocked RCB out of the IPL 2023, GT lost to the home team in 2024. One can expect a good match between the two sides.
