'Strike rate badha aur wickets chatka' - Young fan's advice for Hardik Pandya amid tough times
Hardik Pandya has scored 108 runs in IPL 2024 at a strike rate of 138 and picked just one wicket from seven overs.
The appointment of Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper for IPL 2024 hasn’t gone down well with fans as they feel that former captain Rohit Sharma hasn’t been treated well by the franchise. As a result, Pandya has faced the wrath of fans wherever the team has travelled so far in the tournament.
The 30-year-old has had a tough beginning as a full-time skipper for Mumbai as the team lost three matches on the trot in the ongoing season. The all-rounder also hasn’t been able to fire with either bat or ball so far scoring 108 runs from four innings so far at an average of 27 and a strike rate of 138.46. With the ball, he has scalped one wicket from seven overs leaking 76 runs in the process.

Hence, there’s a wild uproar among fans to remove him and re-appoint Rohit as the captain of the side. Recently, a video of a young fan has been going viral on social media who bashed Pandya for his decisions
"Jo captain (Rohit) aapko paanch IPL trophy jitaya, uske liye itna bhi loyalty nahi rakhte ho (show some loyalty towards a captain under whom you have won five titles)," said the young boy in the video.
Later ahead in the video, he advised Pandya to increase his strike rate and chip in with wickets while keeping his economy in control.
"Strike rate bada, captaincy dekh, aur wickets bhi chatka thode, boht run deta hai woh (increase your strike rate, watch your captaincy and take a few wickets, gives away too many runs),” he added.
