‘Technology got it wrong’ - Ben Stokes unconvinced with Zak Crawley’s LBW decision against India

The Indian team pulled off a brilliant comeback to make their way into the series as they dominated the Ben Stokes-led England in the second Test of the series and registered a 106-run win to level the series.

As the game progressed, star England batter Zak Crawley was subjected to a controversial dismissal by LBW. Playing a fine innings of 72 runs in 123 deliveries, Crawley was initially given not out by the umpire; however, after a DRS by the Indian team, he was eventually dismissed in controversial fashion.

Speaking of the same, England Test skipper Ben Stokes came forward and opined that the decision was the wrong one. "Zak Crawley's LBW decision was the wrong one by the technology,” Stokes said.

Furthermore, Ben Stokes came forward to talk about how the side had full belief that they could have chased down the mammoth target, and chasing down such targets is where the English team has flourished in the past through the Bazball approach. 

“Coming into this last innings, had full belief in ourselves that we would chase it down. In moments like that, in games with scoreboard pressure, that is where we get the best of ourselves. Another great game to be a part of. There’s no suggestion whatsoever about how to play. Everyone in the dressing room is a quality player,” Stokes said.

“They are good enough to go out there and assess the conditions, and decide how to go about it. I absolutely loved it (captaining the spinners). Tu put in the performance they did yesterday was incredible,” he added.
