TNCA announces free Metro rides for India vs England T20I ticket holders in Chennai
India will take on England in a five-match T20I series starting Wednesday, January 22, in Kolkata.
The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has announced free metro travel to and from the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) for all ticket holders attending the second T20I between India and England in Chennai. Notably, both teams will clash on Saturday, January 25.
This development was made to ease traffic jams around the Chepauk Stadium, near Marina Beach. The TNCA, in collaboration with Chennai Metro Rail, previously provided similar services during the IPL 2023 season, which was well-received by the fans.
With tickets for the second T20I already sold out, the renowned venue of Chepauk is set to host a packed crowd in what will be a weekend blockbuster. Notably, Chennai will be hosting its first international white-ball game since the 2023 ODI World Cup and its first international fixture since hosting a Test match against Bangladesh in September 2024.
