Indian bowlers have started amazingly in the ongoing ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup final against England at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Sunday (January 29). Archana Devi is running the show with two early wickets and her jaw-dropping effort while fielding.

Devi took an absolute one-handed stunner to dismiss Ryana MacDonald-Gay in the 12th over. Archana dived to her right at mid-off region and grabbed a worldy with an airborne effort.

India closing on ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2023 title:

Indian captain Shafali Verma elected to field first and her decision gave an instant success in the final of the first-ever ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup. The in-form bowler, Titas Sadhu, dismissed Liberty Heap in the opening over with a return catch and then Indian bowlers dominated the rest of the innings.

Archana dismissed English captain, Grace Scrivens, and bowled out Niamh Holland to trash the opponent's top order in innings fourth over. MacDonald-Gay top-scored for England with 19 runs from 24 balls before getting sent away by Archana's flying effort.

The 15-year-old left-arm spinner, Sonam Yadav, dismissed Sophia Smale in the 18th over as England's innings collapsed on just 68 runs. Titas proved to be the best bowler for India with two wickets while conceding just six runs from her four-over spell, while Archana and Parhavi Chopra also bagged two wickets from their spells, respectively.

With just 68 runs to chase, the Indian team will be delighted with their bowling effort. Archana has been sensational in India's World Cup campaign with eight wickets at an economy rate of 4.77. Parshavi has been India's leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 11 wickets from six innings while Shweta Sehrawat is leading the scoring chart with 292 runs from six innings so far.
