[WATCH] IPL 2025: Vipraj Nigam's sensational throw cuts short Abhishek Sharma's stay in Vizag
Abhishek was dismissed for just one run against DC.
Delhi Capitals (DC) made a brilliant start against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 10 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in Visakhapatnam as they dismissed opening batter Abhishek Sharma in the very first over of the innings.
Abhishek, one of the most dangerous batters in the league, had to walk back for just one run against his name as a direct hit by Vipraj Nigam ended his innings in the opening over. Mitchell Starc bowled a yorker wide of off to Head, who played it towards the off-side. Head wanted to take a quick single and did not watch his partner Abhishek, who said a big 'no'.
Since Head was already on the run, Abhishek was forced to run to the striker's end but could not reach as Vipraj made an excellent direct. Sunrisers Hyderabad continued to struggle as they lost four quick wickets in the powerplay.

After Abhishek's dismissal, Ishan Kishan came in to bat at No. 3. However, he was dismissed by Starc for 2 off 5 as he found Tristan Stubbs at deep backward point. In the same over, Starc sent back all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy back to the hut as he skied a catch to Axar Patel at mid-on, going back for a two-ball duck. The left-arm pacer returned to get rid of his compatriot Travis Head (22 off 12) as he edged a short ball to wicketkeeper KL Rahul.
Earlier in the day, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and sipper Pat Cummins chose to bat first. The Sunrisers made only one change, brining in Zeeshan Ansari for left-arm pacer Simarjeet Singh. For Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul returned in place of Sameer Rizvi.
