'We had a fashion show in Dharamshala, won't reveal who won' - Rohit Sharma on team-bonding activities in ongoing WC

Team India has been on a dominant run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they’ve won nine matches on the trot. The Rohit Sharma-led side finished the league stage on the top of the points table with 18 points to their name. Much of the team’s success has been credited to the incredible bonding the players have created among themselves through various team activities throughout this tournament.

“We even had a fashion show as a part of team activity which people don’t know about which is a good thing as some things should remain private,” said Rohit in the press conference ahead of the first semi final.

Further speaking ahead, Rohit talked about the 2019 World Cup semi final loss against New Zealand but stated that all of it is the past and the team is more focussed on what they can do tomorrow.

“In the back of your mind. You know obviously what has happened in the past. But what has happened in the past is the past. What we can do today what we can do tomorrow is what we usually talk about so I don’t think there’s much debate or much talk about what happened ten years ago or five years ago or the last World Cup as well." he added.

Notably, team India have had a disastrous run in ICC events since 2014 as they’ve failed to win the title despite qualifying for the knockout stages of every tournament barring 2021 T20 World Cup. Hence, the Men in Blue will be under tremendous pressure to end their knockout jinx on their home soil and lift the ODI World Cup after 12 years.
