Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered their fifth consecutive defeat at the ongoing Women's Premier League 2023, on March 13, Monday, when Delhi Capitals beat them by six wickets at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. While the Meg Lanning-led Delhi clinched their fourth victory of the season, the Smriti Mandhana-led side are yet to get the taste of success.

Things are falling out of place for RCB as they still continue to hunt for the first victory of the tournament and open their account on the WPL points table. The franchise managed to get the top players in their side during the auction, but the team looked strong only on paper as they could not leave an impact on the ground.

Nevertheless, with just three games to go in the league stage, RCB still have chances to make it to the eliminator. There are several permutations and combinations that need to land in their absolute favor, but here's how they can move forward in the tournament:

1. Win remaining three games

RCB players need to pull up their socks and get big victories in the final three games of the league stage. Having lost five already, they need to win all the remaining matches so as to make a case for themselves.

2. Mumbai Indians' and Delhi Capitals' victories

RCB would want Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals to win their upcoming matches against Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. While Gujarat has registered only one victory so far, UP Warriorz have won two and lost as many. Mumbai, on the other hand, continue to dominate as the only unbeaten team in the tournament, while Delhi Capitals have lost just one game so far.

Hence, RCB would want MI and DC to continue their winning juggernaut against Gujarat and UP. If that happens and RCB win their three games, they will go past Gujarat and UP in the points table to finish in the third spot.

3. Gujarat Giants to defeat UP Warriorz

RCB's fate depends not just on Mumbai and Delhi's victories, but they would also wasnt Gujarat Giants to defeat UP Warriorz in their fixture. If Gujarat beat UP and suffer a defeat against MI and DC, then they'll find themselves with four points to their name. If UP lose all their remaining games, they'll finish with four points as well. And if RCB wins the remaining three games, they'll overtake Gujarat and UP and will qualify further by virtue of points, taking their tally to six.
