It was the swing and guile of Bhuvneshwar Kumar that helped SRH get 23 wickets from their pacer.
IPL 2017 – Crashing out in the playoffs
David Warner saw his side finish third in the table during the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League in 2017. This allowed the then-defending champions to make it to the playoffs once again. Young Abhishek Sharma was the lead scorer with the bat as he hit 426 runs during the season. Umran Malik picked up 22 wickets including a fifer to make his mark with the ball. This also earned the young pacer an India debut a few months down the line.
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik became the fastest Indian bowler to ever deliver a ball in IPL history. His 157 KPH ball during the game against Delhi Capitals sets the speedometers racing.
IPL 2023 – Abysmal finish under Aiden Markram
For the second time in three seasons, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished last in the table. The departure of Kane Williamson meant that Aiden Markram was given the captaincy. Harry Brook was picked for a huge sum of money. The English batter scored just one century in an otherwise forgettable season with the bat.
Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer with the bat hitting 448 runs while Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 16 wickets. Sunrisers Hyderabad could only manage 8 points in the season as they lost their last four games. If they had won all the games Aiden Markram would have seen his side play the playoffs.
