Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will square off in the much-awaited Super Four clash in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, September 10. The high-pressure match will be contested at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

The India-Pakistan encounter will have a reserve day, with the prospect of rain looming over the game. This will be the only game with a reserve day apart from the final of the Continental Championship. For the uninitiated, the Group A clash between the arch-rivals in Pallekele was washed out due to rain on September 2.

Pakistan began the Super Four stage with a stunning seven-wicket over Bangladesh in Lahore. After the match against India, they will take on co-hosts Sri Lanka on September 14 in their final game of the Super Four stage. India will play Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, respectively, after Sunday's clash.

The R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo typically favours spinners while providing batters opportunities to demonstrate their shot-playing abilities. The average first-innings score at this stadium has been roughly 248 runs over the years. However, for the next matches in the Asia Cup 2023, the pitch is expected to perform even better. Furthermore, given the weather forecast, the captain who wins the toss may choose to bowl first.
