England are all set to challenge the Bangla Tigers in a three-match ODI series starting on March 1. The Jos Buttler-led side are coming into the series being in not so good form as they’ve lost three series out of the last four. Heading into the World Cup which will take place in India, the World Champions will get good practice of playing on slow wickets in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh are coming into this series in great form having won six out of their last seven series. The only team to beat Bangladesh at home in an ODI series since 2015 is England who beat them in 2016 by 2-1. Hence, the Tamim Iqbal-led side will be vary of the English challenge and give the ‘World Champions’ a run for their money in the upcoming series.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium is generally a high scoring one with teams crossing the 300-run mark on 14 occasions. In the total 122 matches played at the venue, teams batting first have won 55 games while the teams batting second have won 66 matches. Looking at the past record, the captain winning the toss will be looking to bowl first.
