The arch-rivals India and Pakistan are set to face off each other on Sunday, 23 February in Match 5 of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. This high-stakes battle carries immense understanding, specifically for co-hosts Pakistan, who is in a tricky situation after losing a crushing 60-run defeat in their opening match against New Zealand in Karachi.

Whereas, India enter with momentum on their part, having settled into a comfortable six-wicket triumph in Dubai against Bangladesh on Thursday.

The wall could not get higher for Mohammed Rizwan and his boys, who must find a loophole to bounce back strongly to keep their hopes alive. Pakistan's latest record against India has been a mix of things in the ICC events but they are set to compete with hope of their historic victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy final, where they crushed Virat Kohli’s side to lift their maiden trophy.

As the two countries are set for yet another thrilling battle, fans are excited to witness the absolute showdown filled with intensity, drama, and high-quality cricket.

Pitch Report

The Dubai International Stadium is expected to be favourable for bowling conditions. The pitch looks a bit slow, which might turn out to be difficult for the batters to smash their shots. Rain is unlikely to drip during the match, however, the temperature is expected to be around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius throughout the match. On the other hand, the team winning the toss will choose to chase first as the conditions play a vital role in the scores.
