ENG-W vs IND-W Head to Head, Playing XI, Preview, Where to Watch on TV, Online, and Live Streaming Details
The series is leveled at 1-1, and the third and final game will decide the winner.
The series has just one game left, with India and England tied at 1-1. While the hosts won the first fixture at Durham by a big margin of nine wickets, India went on to finish a successful chase in the second game at Derby and won the contest by eight wickets to level the series. The final game is scheduled to be held at Bristol on September 15.
England started the series on a high even on a difficult surface at Durham as the rain played a role. Nevertheless, they managed to chase the target with seven overs to spare and the batters maintained a run rate between 9-10. Sarah Glenn registered her best bowling figures in T20Is as she picked up four crucial wickets to keep England in a dominating position in the first innings.
In the second game, the Indian players bounced back and gave a befitting reply. Even after losing the first contest, Harmanpreet Kaur went ahead with an unchanged team to bag a victory. The bowlers did their part in the powerplay, and even later as Sneh Rana finished with three wickets under her belt. Chasing 143 runs, Indian openers fired in the powerplay, and Smriti Mandhana notched up an unbeaten 79* to take India to a win.
The third and final game of the series will be an interesting one. India faced a terrible defeat last year in England in both the ODIs and the T20Is, but the Women in Blue would look to turn the tables around this time. India does not have a good track record against England, but they’ve put up some competitive performances against them recently, winning on two of their previous three outings.
Pitch Conditions
The County Ground in Bristol has witnessed some high-scoring contests, and the pitch will assist the batters more. As the game goes on, the bowlers will have to bring in variations in the line and length in order to tackle the set batters. It can be a high scoring game if the batters take the advantage, and it may turn into a low scoring one if the bowlers strike early on.
Playing Combinations for ENG-W vs IND-W
England
Even without their key players Heather Knight, Katherine Brunt and Nat Sciver, England have showcased brilliant cricket. They have not been dependent upon one or two players, as they always have someone as a savior to hold the game tight. They have a good grip over the game and are unlikely to make any changes.
Predicted Playing XI: Sophia Dunkley, Danielle Wyatt, Alice Capsey, Amy Jones (c & wk), Maia Bouchier, Bryony Smith, Sophie Ecclestone, Freya Kemp, Sarah Glenn, Freya Davies, Lauren Bell
India
India remained unchanged even after losing the first contest, but they managed to bag a win in the previous encounter. But even then Dayalan Hemalatha has not been able to put up a remarkable show. Being a top-order batter, she lost her wicket very early in the game and failed to play the anchor’s role. India might look to make one change, replacing Hemalatha with Sabbhineni Meghana.
Predicted Playing XI: Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Sabbhineni Meghana, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Richa Ghosh (wk), Kiran Navgire, Pooja Vastrakar, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Renuka Singh
