England are all set to take on India in the first of the three match ODI series at the 1st Central County Ground Hove. The three-match T20I series recently got over and it was the England side that emerged victorious by a 2-1 margin.

India last played an ODI series against Sri Lanka in July where they completed a whitewash. The upcoming series also will mark the final international assignment for veteran bowler Jhulan Goswami who has served the country for a long time and has been an inspiration to many.

Meanwhile, England have provided maiden call-ups to Alice Capsey and Freya Kemp as rewards for their good performances in the T20Is. England last played an ODI series against South Africa ahead of the Commonwealth games and they completed a whitewash at home.

Pitch and Conditions

The Central County Cricket Ground in Hove has been helping the spinners quite a lot and it hasn't been a high scoring venue. The skipper will be looking to bat first after winning the toss.
