On the other hand, the Wanindu Hasaranga-led side was up against South Africa in their first league encounter and they were crushed by the Proteas. The Lankans could only score 77 runs in their first innings and lost the game by six wickets with 22 balls to spare. With both teams running low on confidence due to dismal performances in their previous games, both sides will be eager to register a win.

The surface for Saturday's fixture is expected to offer favourable conditions for the fast bowlers, particularly in the initial stages of the game.
