DC vs CSK, IPL 2024: Records & Stats at YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam
Delhi Capitals will be playing their first two home matches at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. This will be the first IPL fixture in more than four years at the venue.
In the night game of the double header on Sunday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will make a return to Visakhapatnam after 1786 days. Delhi Capitals (DC) will be playing their first two home matches at this stadium. Notably, the first couple of home games are scheduled at Vizag owing to Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, their home ground, not being fully prepared to host any fixture.
Delhi Capitals have played two matches so far, both of them have been away games, but DC have lost them both. Captain Rishabh Pant returning from an injury hasn't been at his very best and that has led to some problems in the Capitals camp.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on the other hand, under new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, have played two home matches, on rather uncharacteristically flat pitches, and recorded clinical wins in them both. CSK now sit pretty at the top of the points table and will be looking for a three out of three.

YS Rajasekhara Reddy, ACA-VDCA Stadium Pitch Report
Visakhapatnam aka Vizag hasn't hosted an IPL match in over 4 years, this makes it slightly difficult to predict how the pitch would behave. But as a general pattern for all Indian stadiums, this one will be on the high scoring side, with factors not limited to dew making it easier to chase.

DC vs CSK Strategies & Match-ups:
CSK's batting especially Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube stepped up to the occasion in the last two matches, while DC's bowling has not inspired much confidence by failing to defend 173 against PBKS and then conceding 193 against RR. This looks difficult for DC unless their bowling steps up. CSK's batting continuing to deliver the way they have been so far will make this another cakewalk for CSK. The important match-ups are: Ravindra Jadeja vs David Warner, Kuldeep Yadav vs Shivam Dube.
Player Battles to Watch Out For:
Ravindra Jadeja vs David Warner
These two have come across each other in 6 innings so far in the IPL. Warner has never been dismissed by Jadeja in the IPL yet, and in the 58 balls that Warner has received from Jadeja, he has scored a whopping 101 runs. If DC's misfiring batting has to have any hope, Warner will need to keep up his strike rate of 174.13 against Jadeja.
Axar Patel vs Ruturaj Gaikwad
The newly appointed CSK skipper has faced 40 balls across 6 innings from Patel. He has scored 58 runs at a strike rate of 145 while being dismissed just once. Gaikwad's good record against spin in general will also be useful to CSK against DC's potent spin attack.
X-Factors for CSK vs DC:
Delhi Capitals
If there is one thing that has gone right for DC in their two losses, it is going to be Mitchell Marsh. And it will have to be him again if the Delhi-based franchise fancy any chance of putting up a challenging show with the bat and the ball.
Chennai Super Kings
The most consistent reason for CSK's batting success in their two matches was Rachin Ravindra, if he can bring out the big guns against just like these two matches, the result might be a foregone conclusion in the powerplay itself.
