In the first match of the only double header of IPL 2024 scheduled on a Saturday, Delhi Capitals (DC) will host Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Both teams had contrasting results in their most matches, but are very closely placed on the points table nevertheless. Other than breaking into the top half of the points table, Delhi will be looking to settle scores with MI with a win here.
Delhi Capitals are now playing their third consecutive home game having won one and lost the other in their last two matches. After conceding 266 to Sunrisers Hyderabad and promptly losing, Delhi Capitals scored 224 against Gujarat Titans but only escaped by the skin of their teeth with a very narrow 4-run victory.

Mumbai Indians will also be playing their third consecutive away match. They too had a similar script as Delhi Capitals having won one and lost the other of their previous two matches. Their latest match was against RR at Jaipur, where after posting what looked like a respectable 179, they were blown away by a Yashasvi Jaiswal century.
In the reverse fixture at Mumbai, MI put up a mammoth 234 bolstered by Romario Shepherd scoring 32 runs off the last over bowled by Anrich Nortje. Delhi Capitals got close because of the fifties by Tristan Stubbs and Prithvi Shaw, but ultimately failed to chase the target.
