England vs New Zealand 2023 4th T20I: Stats Preview of Players' Records and Approaching Milestones
England will look to clinch the series while New Zealand will look to level the series.
England will lock horns against New Zealand for one last time in the fourth game of four match T20I series on September 5, at Trent Bridge, in Nottingham.
England will be coming into the contest on the back of a heavy defeat in the third T20I. They had a rare poor day with both bat and ball, eventually losing the game by 74 runs. England conceded 202 runs in the last game picking up only 5 wickets, Gus Atkinson was the only bowler to have been consistent.
Atkinson picked up two wickets for 30 runs in his quota of four overs while Luke Wood and Liam Livingstone picked up one wicket each, Livingstone was expensive though conceding 55 runs. They were bowled out cheaply for 128 runs, Jos Buttler (40) and Moeen Ali (26) were the only batters to have crossed the 20-run mark in the massive chase. England will now look to bounce back the winning ways to clinch the series.
New Zealand, on the other hand, will be heading into the game on the back of a clinical display with both bat and ball in the last game, eventually winning by a huge margin of 74 runs. Their two of the go-to batters Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips stepped up when it mattered the most by scoring 83 and 69 runs respectively.
They together added an 88-run stand to help NZ post their highest total of 202 against England in the T20I. In the bowling department, both Ish Sodhi and Kyle Jamieson were impressive, picking up three wickets each. A 74-run victory for NZ was their biggest T20I win against England. New Zealand will look to carry on the winning momentum to level the series in the fourth game.
